In addition to his extensive experience leading both the development and implementation of corrections programs of all types, Brad Hompe’s career has included lots of experience providing a wide range of services in prisons and jails throughout Wisconsin, as well as throughout the country. Brad has been a prison staff employee, as well as a jail inspector, an instructor and trainer. Overall, he started out as a corrections officer, and worked hard at every step of the career ladder, up to and including his position as a prison warden.

Put simply, throughout Brad Hompe’s time working with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC), he has performed nearly every job there is to do in a prison environment. Working his way up through the ranks, he started as a corrections officer, before earning a promotion to sergeant, then to lieutenant, and then captain, before becoming a unit manager and deputy warden, on his way to becoming warden. He is currently serving as a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator for WI-DOC, which makes sense, given Brad’s extensive experience with jail and prison operations.
